Sigma 18-250mm Sigma Lenses for Canon
Especially made for Canon digital SLR cameras, the Sigma 18-250mm Sigma Lens for Canon has three aspherical lenses that prevent distortion and four Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements that ensure color consistency within the entire zoom range. This lens has multiple coatings that reduce ghost and flare, which are common issues with some digital cameras. Optical Stabilizer (OS) technology means small handheld movements are offset and stabilized, meaning a handheld zoom shot will focus successfully even on the smallest detail. With a maximum magnification of 1:3.4 and a minimum focusing distance of 17.7 inches (45cm), it is perfect for close-up shots. The images are sharp and clear except at the both ends of the focus spectrum.
The Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM) offers is ultra fast and extremely quiet, which other photographers will be surprised to see. The focusing elements are inside the lens, not on the outside of the lens, as one would expect. Once the lens is focused and ready to shoot, it cannot get accidentally bumped out of position when attaching a filter like the circular polarized filter because the adjustment is inside the lens, out of harms way. That also goes for attaching the petal-type lens hood that comes with the lens. Another advantage of the interior-focusing element is that it does not move gradually to another setting with its own weight while being carried around. The Sigma 18-250mm Sigma Lenses for Canon is a great all-around lens that weighs only 1.4 pounds. Customer reviews gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Sigma 18-250mm Sigma Lenses for Canon Reviews
This is a great addition to my Canon SLR digital camera. I enjoy playing around with the zoom, and the interior focusing elements are great because they don’t get bumped when I add a polarizing filter or attach the metal hood that came with the lens. The system is very quiet, and doesn’t seem to disturb deer when I photograph them in the forest. I was surprised to find a lens with all these features and quality in one affordable package, and I highly recommend it for all-around use.
I have had a Canon SLR digital camera for years, but once I discovered the Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM IF Lens for Canon AF Digital SLR Cameras filter size 72, that became my lens of choice. Its zoom range covers most shooting situations that I come across. I particularly appreciate the handheld stabilizing elements in the lens because I don’t like to carry around a tripod or monopod. I prefer to just pick up, grab my camera bag and go. This lens can handle zoomed-in close-up detail as well as it handles the distant horizon, and it just plain makes my life simpler and my pictures better. I couldn’t be happier.
